What we do is for the betterment of the industry and the planet. Our sorting process is 100% dry to protect our collective water resources against seepage and contaminated water loss, and our best-in-class technology has delivered 40%-70% reductions in Sulphur emissions into the environment.
We help our clients ‘squeeze more juice from the lemon’. Through our sensor-based sorting technology, we extend the life of their operations, extract more value out of mineral ore, minimize waste, preserve precious water resources, and reduce the environmental impact of their operations.
In an analysis of South African coal, Acrux undertook a bulk test on a washed sample that contained 1.4% sulphur. Our results proved that sensor-based sorting could be optimised to produce a 0.5% sulphur product at an 88% yield, recovering 95% of the sample’s energy content.
